BDRL officials were delighted after five sides competed at No.1 Oval, Walgett on Saturday.
Newtown Wanderers hosted the day and the BDRL noted the impressive work from the Walgett-based club to run such a smooth event.
Bourke was handed a forfeit win in pool B first-up after Brewarrina withdrew from the tournament.
Newtown also received a win on forfeit after the Golden Googars' demise which meant when the Warriors and Wanderers met in the final pool B match the winner would qualify for the final.
Bourke won a tough encounter 10-0, meaning they met pool A winners and traditional rivals Walgett Dragons in the final.
The Warriors starred to defeat Walgett 26-6 in the final, scoring five-tries-to-one.
Beating both Walgett clubs on the same day is a notable effort for any BDRL club visiting No. 1 Oval.
Bourke president James Simmons said the gala day win was a great result for his club ahead of the 2015 season proper that is expected to begin on May 16.
The Warriors had already competed in trials against Group 11 clubs before the gala day and defeated Dubbo Westside reserve grade and suffered a close loss against Cobar
With hard-working forward Peter Mackay as captain-coach, Bourke will be a side to watch in 2015 after winning the 2012 BDRL title and qualifying for the past three senior grand finals.
"The boys were very keen and started training early," Simmons said.
"They can't wait for the season to start. It was a very good effort to get together a side and win at Walgett."
Mackay and Hogan Shillingsworth were two of Bourke's best at the gala day while Kevin Murray and youngster Steven West performed well for Walgett.
Walgett had earlier defeated Collarenebri (24-12) and Lightning Ridge (14-4) in pool A to qualify for the final.
Collarenebri scored a win against Lightning Ridge in the other pool A match, with the Bulldogs' Les Biles snaring three tries across his club's two pool matches to stand out.
Country Rugby League regional administration co-ordinator Evan Jones attended the gala day and was delighted with the event.
"Bourke were very strong and the standard overall was quite good," Jones said. "We were very happy with the day."
He admitted with Brewarrina forfeiting from the gala day it is unlikely to field a senior side in 2015.
This year's senior competition is now expected to host the five clubs that competed at the gala day (Newtown Wanderers, Walgett Dragons, Bourke Warriors, Collarenebri Bulldogs and Lightning Ridge Redbacks).
