With more than a thousand people expected to take part in the Anzac Sleep-Out, Stuart Crowfoot got in early and reserved spots for he and his wife Sharon, their children Tyler and Mia, and his parents Frank and June.
Mr Crowfoot believes the Anzac Sleep-Out is a great initiative and one that the entire family is looking forward to.
“It will be great to go along and take part in something different,” Mr Crowfoot said.
“We are all looking forward to it and think it will be a great event.
“We are pretty big on four wheel driving so we camp out all the time but this is something different and should be great for people of all ages.”
Throughout the Anzac Sleep-Out there will be live music, a series of short and feature length films and displays of war memorabilia.
Mr Crowfoot believes the night, and the Anzac Day Dawn Service the following morning, will be very beneficial not only for his own children but all children in attendance.
“The Anzac Sleep-Out is a great way to pay your respects,” he said.
“It’s important the kids get an understanding of what the war was about and about the sacrifice that has been made.
“They need to realise its not just about having a day off, that there is something extremely important behind it.”
Mr Crowfoot encourages everyone to take part in this event.
