Ariana Grande's dad and boyfriend have had an awkward exchange online after her boyfriend boasted about his sex life on Instagram.
Or, at least, that's how it initially appeared.
American rapper Big Sean, who has been in a relationship with the Break Free singer since October, was seemingly confronted by Grande's dad Edward Butera when he quoted some suggestive lyrics to one of his songs in the caption of a selfie on Thursday.
"I give her that D... #Detroit," Big Sean (real name Sean Michael Leonard Anderson) told his 3.7 million followers, quoting a lyric from the 2012 song Mercy, which he recorded as a collaboration with rappers Kanye West, Pusha T and 2 Chainz.
However, it seemed to the casual observer that Butera was not pleased with Big Sean's post.
Instagram user "Edward Butera" commented on the selfie, saying: "That D. better be Detroit Sean. [sic]"

But it appears Ariana Grande's dad might not have been as social media sassy as first thought.
Butera has taken to his Twitter page to say the account which made the comment on Big Sean's photo is a fake.
"That is an imposter on Instagram," the 56-year-old designer wrote.

The Instagram account in question is a private account, with over 270,000 followers.
Ariana Grande, 21, shot to Disney Star-esque fame in 2010 when she was cast in Nickelodeon children's show Victorious.
The show was cancelled in 2012 amid rumours that Grande was fighting with her co-stars on set, and wanted to prioritise her music career.
Grande spoke cryptically after the show's cancellation, hinting there was tension between her and co-star Victoria Justice.
"I worked with someone who told me they'd never like me. But for some reason, I just felt like I needed her approval," she told Hollywood Life.
"So I started changing myself to please her. It made me stop being social and friendly. I was so unhappy."
Grande has had a string of high-profile romantic relationships.
Prior to dating Big Sean, Grande has been in relationships with Jai Brooks from Australian prankster group The Janoskians, as well as Nathan Sykes from British-Irish boyband The Wanted.
Grande confirmed she was dating Big Sean in October 2014 after weeks of speculation.
"I think the world of him and he's an amazing person," she told the UK Telegraph. "That's kind of all there is to it."
