Hyde has had a good run with the likes of Cardiff Prince and Found At Last in recent weeks but on Saturday it was Uncle Wingnut's turn to shine, much to the delight of punters on course.
With Kody Nestor in the saddle, the four-year-old gelding started a $3.00 favourite and on the line had half-a-length to spare from Something Borrowed ($5.00, Martin Haley), with Had Your Chance ($3.60, Jake Pracey-Holmes) a further one-and-a-half lengths away in third place.
Uncle Wingnut has now won two races from just eight starts and Saturday's victory took his prizemoney tally past the $11,000 mark.
