The 19-year-old was charged following an investigation by Bourke child abuse squad and Brewarrina Police that included a search of a Brewarrina residence in February.

"It will be alleged these offences were committed by telecommunications including Facebook," a spokesperson for Darling River Local Area Command said.

"It is a timely reminder to all in the community to actively supervise their children's online activities."

He will appear before Brewarrina Local Court on June 16.
