A MAN has been charged following a robbery at a Dubbo shopping centre.

A police spokesperson said about 7.30am Tuesday an employee at Riverdale shopping centre in Macquarie Street was allegedly threatened by a man wielding scissors before being hit in the face, as he accessed a store cupboard under a set of escalators.
The accused took the employee's wallet.
The 28-year-old employee struggled with the man as several passers-by helped.
Police attended and arrested a 36-year-old man.
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with robbery while armed.
He appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday and was refused bail and is due to reappear in court on June 10.
The shopping centre employee was taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
