It was a fantastic Open Day with about 50 people attending. It was a great opportunity for players to try out the Hot Shots Mini-nets and Fast4 tennis thanks to Nadia Filmalter from Tennis NSW who co-ordinated these fun activities.
Coach Pippa Higgins-Earl encouraged her students to attend and they all enjoyed participating in the activities and social tennis.
It was good to see so many families and children enjoying the day.
During afternoon tea Nadia Filmalter, Tennis NSW Central West Community Tennis Officer, officially launched the 2015 tennis season.
The winners of the lucky gate prizes were also announced.
Congratulations to the winners.
Adults: Katherine Greentree, Neville Floyd, and Joel.
Children: Chris Greentree, Beau Greentree and Orlagh Quigley.
A big thank you to everyone who supported this event and all the club members and families who helped out on the day.
It was a fabulous club event to launch the 2015 tennis season.
The club would like to thank the Dubbo Men's Shed for the donation of paint to refresh our outdoor tables and benches. They are looking much improved.
The next round of Tom Toohey Monthly Tournament will be held on Sunday April 12.
