Local businesses have joined forces in order to get workers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and make healthier food choices as part of the Get Healthy at Work program.

Dubbo business Tracserv has come on board the campaign and by prioritising health and simple action plans are now eligible for Get Healthy Points, which it is are using to order weekly fruit boxes from Mick and Paul's Fruit and Veg shop.
Tracserv spokeswoman Karen Pellow said the program would encourage people to make healthy choices at work.
"It will help increase productivity, so that staff are more alert, therefore reducing injury," she said.
"The fruit will be placed in the lunch room so that it is easily accessible."
Mick and Paul's Fruit and Veg shop, co-owner Mick Coon said healthy eating had many benefits.
"Not only does it taste good but you feel better in yourself, and you have more energy," he said. OCTEC Get Healthy at Work co-ordinator Donna Gosper said Tracserv was one of many businesses in the central west which had come on board.
Increased productivity and reduced sick leave were some of the many benefits a business could expect to see as a result, she said.
