The highly anticipated auction and Zumba disco event, Give Barnsy A Reason To Smile, was "absolutely amazing", according to event organiser, Tracy Hanna.
"There was easily more than 150 people there," she said.
Mrs Hanna, better known as Zumba Tracy, has been teaching a number of clients at Dubbo Northcott for more than two years.
Daniel 'Barnsy' Barnes was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome at birth, she said.
His life expectancy was 10 years of age and incredibly he turned 25 this year.
In celebration of his birthday, Mrs Hannah decided to set out to raise money to purchase Barnsy a new wheelchair and an iPad.
"With Barnsy's condition, he's constantly in pain and leaning to one side," Tracy said.
"A new chair would really help him and his family out."
The $10,000 goal for a new wheelchair was smashed well before Saturday's big event.
Mrs Hanna said the remaining funds would be transferred to a trust fund, which could be accessed by the Barnes family to assist with his day-to-day living expenses.
The support from the community was "unbelievable", Mrs Hanna said.
She described the entire event, auction and Zumba included, as "a massive celebration".
"I still can't believe all the hard work paid off," she said.
"The stage was full of people dancing the whole night and every item available was sold in the auction."
