Dubbo is the second stop on the Google Road Show's tour of regional Australia, and was one of only five towns selected for a visit.
Local web expert Michael Quinn will be speaking at the event, while the Village Bakery Cafe's Michael Everett will be speaking about how his business has made the most of the internet.
Google Australia Communications Manager Andrew Ure said Dubbo was an easy choice for the roadshow.
"Dubbo kept coming up as a town with a really engaged population, where people were keen to learn about the internet," he said.
"There's so many great businesses in Dubbo that we really want to help to expose them to more customers."
Research from Deliotte has shown that "businesses that are making the most of the web" are twice as likely to be growing, and four times as likely to be hiring staff, he said.
And with 95 per cent of small businesses in Australia now having an internet connection, Dubbo's businesses definitely have the capability to make the most of their online presence. They just need the know-how.
"Some businesses already have a website and want to learn sophisticated online marketing, others just want to be found on a map," Mr Ure said.
"The event's really designed to help people to get online for the first time and understand the tools that are available to them," Mr Ure said.
The Google Road Show will be at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on Tuesday, March 31, at 8am.
