William Maxwell Michell, 24, returned to the Commercial Hotel after he was ejected from it and then resisted a police officer.
His plea of guilty came not at the first opportunity but after the defence made representations to the prosecution, resulting in an amendment to the allegations, Dubbo Local Court heard.
Magistrate Jacqueline Trad said it was an incident at a licensed premises where the police were called and the obligation was on the patron.
"The issue is you should have left a lot earlier than you did. A problem at a licensed premises is a problem for the whole community."
Michell was convicted of being an excluded person re-entering a hotel and fined $500.
Ms Trad also found Michell guilty of resisting an officer but elected not to record a conviction on the condition the 24-year-old enter into a nine-month good behaviour bond.
