The Dubbo side lost to the mighty Orange team last round and therefore meet Bathurst 1 in a do-or-die minor semi-final first up tomorrow at the Orange PCYC.
But after being the dominant team alongside Orange for the past two seasons, the expectation is for them both to win their respective semi-finals and meet in the decider at 2.35pm.
Orange, featuring a younger side in 2015, are gunning for an incredible 20th straight State League title but after coming on in leaps and bounds in recent years Weekes knows the chance of a premiership win is now a reality for Dubbo.
"It would be like a dream come true, it's something we've been working towards for the last few years now," she said about the possibility of wrestling the crown from Orange.
"We've been working on the whole package, we've introduced a strength and conditioning and fitness element and we've got some senior players in a leadership group.
"Plus myself and Michelle (Williams) are co-coaches so we can have a coach on the court and off.
"It's something we've been working towards so if we were to win I think there would be tears of joy, it would be a sweet victory."
Despite going down to Orange 65-31 in the last round, Weekes said her squad still walked away from that match in a positive state of mind and is still confident about their chances if they are to meet the defending premiers again.
"We really sued that game to work on a lot of combinations," Weekes said.
"Some of our girls had never played Orange before so we needed them to see what it was like.
"Plus we were nursing a few injuries."
Star attackers Megan Liplyn and Caroline Dallinger had a limited impact on the last match but both are expected to be fit and firing on Sunday.
Dubbo's Division 2 side, made of the 17s squad, is also in action on the weekend after dominant performances in the early rounds.
They meet Parkes in the major semi-final today but Weekes said the squad is set to meet Bathurst again in the final.
Dubbo came back from a final quarter deficit to defeat Bathurst last time the two teams met and now the stage is set for a rematch in the decider.
"I know coaches Sharon (Edmunds) and Tash (Watts-Tehiko) have been very happy with their progress but they know Bathurst will be tough because they had their measure for three quarters of the last match so it should be a really good game."
