The Expedition range will have limited departures in 2015, to test drive them.
An example of what's on offer is "Exploring the Mayan World", which traces the 1946, footsteps of archaeologist Giles Healy to the ruins of Bonampak, deep in the jungle of southern Mexico, which turned out to be one of the great discoveries of the 20th century.
The trip is with a native Lacandon guide and a local archaeologist with visits to some of the lesser known Mayan ruins along the way.
There's also time to explore the markets of Oaxaca, colonial Puebla and Cristobel de las Casas.
Inclusions: breakfast daily and some lunches and dinners, five nights' camping, six nights in hotels, one in a cabin and one overnight in a bus, access to archeological sites and more.
The 15-day trips costs from $2995 a person, with one scheduled departure on November 14.
