Daphne Park will receive a $48,000 upgrade in 2015/16, followed by $50,000 for Jack William Park, $90,000 for Wahroonga Park and $36,000 for Muller Park in the following years.
The strategy is set out in the business plans for the Horticulture, Landcare and Sporting Facilities units of Parks and Landcare Services.
Plans for 2015/16 also include shade sails at Wahroonga and Victoria parks, an irrigation system at Egret Park and fencing at Angle Road Park.
The sports light renewal program will continue as well with Hans Clavan scheduled for a $189,000 renewal in the next financial year while Victoria No 2 and Pioneer Oval are proposed for 2018/19.
In the business plans council director Parks and Landcare Services Murray Wood said outdated amenities was another focus of the forward budgets.
Mr Wood said in 2015/16 the Pioneer Oval amenities that service both soccer and hockey would be refurbished.
"It should be recalled that in the community needs survey only 50.5 per cent of residents felt that the city offers first class sporting facilities and a staff review of this result suggested that the standard of some amenities was a significant issue for residents," he said.
