The exception was No Land Tax candidate Ben Shepherd who was not in attendance.
The issue was raised by Push for Palliative Dubbo ambassador Barbara O' Brien who wanted to hear what commitments would be made to palliative care in Dubbo.
Green candidate Matt Parmeter said it was an issue that affected everyone as "one day we're all going to die".
"I will do everything I can to assist with palliative care. It's a very important service not only for those who are dying but for their loved ones," he said.
Independent Rod Pryor said all aged people had the right to die with dignity and he was very supportive of palliative care right across the board.
He said he did not like the idea of registered nurses being taken away from aged care facilities.
Country Labor candidate Stephen Lawrence agreed it was a neglected area and a lot more nurses were needed.
Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said it was not an age-specific issue.
"Any option we have to relieve suffering we must pursue.
"I will absolutely continue to fight to get specialist care here in Dubbo. Palliative care must be a priority," Mr Grant said.
Mr Grant and Mr Lawrence both promised they would meet with Ms O' Brien to discuss the issue further if they were elected.
