Police have swarmed on a home in Pierce St, Wellington and have begun interviewing a 47-year-old local woman on charges of possessing drugs.

It's understood the drug is Marijuana.
A number of police from the Orana Area Local Command including its dog unit moved in and around the home just before 9am.
Orana area local command Duty Officer Andrew McKittrik said their investigation had opened the door to further breakthroughs over drugs in Wellington.
‘’We expect to lay charges in relation to the investigation. The information came from public information,’’ he said.
Onlookers covered the local street as police came out of the home with a number of alleged drug related matter. Sniffer dogs had earlier assisted officers in their search.
Police will continue their investigations on Friday.
