RSL-Colts and Newtown meet in a top-of-the-table clash with could give one side a huge psychological edge leading into the finals.
Colts currently lead the competition and only a huge loss this round will see the Tigers leapfrog them and claim the automatic spot in the grand final.
With the two sides sitting in the top two spots all season they are both favoured to reach the decider, meaning this round is an opportunity to form a real mental advantage.
Colts are on a high after nine straight wins in the Whitney Cup and an outright over CYMS last week.
They know a win, or even a narrow loss, would see them qualify for this season's final.
Newtown, who have suffered from inconsistency since the start of 2015, showed they can still produce outstanding performances when they defeated Rugby by 163 runs last round.
With plenty to play for it is set to be one of the better matches of the season.
The final of the three Whitney Cup matches this round sees a bottom of the table clash with South Dubbo taking on CYMS at No. 1 Oval.
Both sides have struggled for consistency all season but this last match gives both sides a chance to finish the season on a high with finals all but impossible.
Souths will be the most disappointed by their end to the season after mixing it with top sides at different stages during 2014-15.
For CYMS, this season has been an improvement on last after not winning one match but with new recruits in their ranks this summer hopes had been much higher.
Both sides head into play today coming off a loss with CYMS dealt their first outright of the season at the hands of RSL-Colts while Souths went down to Macquarie.
The Hornets' loss would have been particularly disappointing with it virtually signalling the end of the finals hopes.
All matches begin today at 1pm.
