Macquarie and Rugby meet at No. 3 Oval today in a winner-takes-all Whitney Cup final round clash.
With less than a point between the two sides the winner of this match will finish third and advance to the finals along with RSL-Colts and Newtown.
For the loser it brings to an end their season and leaves the players thinking of what could have been.
It has been two vastly different summers for last season's grand finalists with Rugby struggling at different times after being expected to be at the top of the ladder again. For Macquarie, they have outdone what most people thought possible after virtually being written off before the season began with a number of key players having departed.
But after a summer of twists and turns they begin their match today with everything to play for.
In other matches this round, RSL-Colts meet Newtown in a bumper top-of-the-table clash while at the other end of the ladder South Dubbo take on CYMS.
