The Listies Make You LOL was described as a comedy for kids and their adults, making it one for the whole family.
The Listies, Matt Kelly and Richard Higgins, will be taking to the stage on Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13, to show the Dubbo audience how to laugh out loud (LOL).
One half of the duo, Richard Higgins, said they had first met at university in Melbourne.
Starting off performing comedy for adults, the pair soon realised they reacted more performing to a younger audience.
The first show they actually performed together was Roald Dahl's The Twits, in which Higgins and Kelly played Mr and Mrs Twit.
"We still have the underwear Matt wore as Mrs Twit on our office wall as a memento," Higgins said.
Although March 12 marks the duo's first official trip to Dubbo, Gunnedah-born Kelly said he had spent many memorable hours at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
He also recalled a fond moment spent at Narromine Hosptial getting stitches in his head.
Touring large regional areas of Queensland, Western Australia and now NSW, Higgins said The Listies aimed to show a variety of sketches in their performance.
The pair thrived on the freedom of children's entertainment.
"We're all about having fun," Higgins said.
"We didn't think this would be our route, but it's what life's chosen for us and it's great,"
Higgins said audience members should prepare themselves for "an hour of sillyness".
"Parents should not be worried," he said. "The worst that could happen would be an alien attack and toilet paper cannons."
