About 9.40pm on Thursday, a man entered a takeaway-pizza shop on Erskine Street.
Police have been told the man was armed with a knife and had his face covered.
The man approached and threatened the female employee, demanding she open the cash register.
The employee complied, and the man ran from the store with an amount of cash.
Outside the shop, the man threatened another male who had just left the premises.
Police from Orana Local Area Command were called to the address.
They established a crime scene, which has been examined by specialist forensic officers.
An investigation is underway, and police are appealing for information from the public to help locate the offender.
