Friday, February 27 - Pompeii + Pomp at the Western Plains Cultural Centre. Three-course dinner by The Outlook Cafe. After dinner talk by Dr. Estelle Lazer. Pompeii has grasped the world’s imagination since its discovery in 1748. A city destroyed by fire and stone; its inhabitants captured in perpetuity by the mysterious voids they left in the ash. Dr Estelle Lazer is a worldleading academic and archaeologist who has worked on the Pompeii dig for decades, trying to trace the lives of those left behind through their bones.
Wednesday, March 4 to Sunday, March 15 - Hudsons Circus. For the first time at Dubbo, Hudsons Circus will be at the Ollie Robbins Oval showcasing the best of the entertainment industry. The two-hour show includes not only international artists, but a large range of extraordinary well-trained animals including camels, water buffalo, horses, llamas, Brazilian macaws and dogs. Hudsons Circus is the only circus in Australia with two baby zebras on display.
Friday, March 6 - Seraphim Trio: Chamber Music Concert at Macquarie Conservatorium. Macquarie Conservatorium presents the Seraphim Trio live in concert, performing a program of piano, violin and cello trios by Beethoven and Schubert. Winners of the Piano Trio Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the 2001 Australian National Chamber Music Competition, the Seraphim Trio of Helen Ayres violin, Anna Goldsworthy piano, and Tim Nankervis cello is recognised as Australia’s pre-eminent piano trio.
Saturday, March 7 - Graeme Connors North at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
Saturday, March 7 - Dubbo Farmers Markets at the Macquarie Lions Park.
Saturday, March 7 - Jason Owen performs Friday Night album at the Dubbo RSL Club Resort.
Sunday, March 8 - Riverside Markets at the Ollie Robbins Oval.
Wednesdays - The Senior Social Cards Club meets every week from 9:30am to 2pm at the Dubbo Neighbourhood Centre. Both men and women are welcome. Cost is $5 for the day.
