With Dubbo's local Labor candidate yet to announce what funding Dubbo would actually receive under a Labor government, things don't look too good for the city at this stage.
One of the big areas for concern would be the hospital, with the Coalition announcing weeks ago funding for stages three and four.
This funding isn't dependant on them privatising the electricity network and means developments will go ahead if they retain power in government.
All we need from Labor is for them to say they also commit to the funding for the hospital in some form, to make sure the much needed renovations go ahead, no matter who comes to power after the March election.
While Labor's plan does provide a fair share of funds for regional, rural and coastal towns and doesn't resort to the privatisation of the electricity network - a big win for consumers, with reports prices will rise under privatisation.
Other candidates for the Greens and an independent sided with Labor when it came to making sure the electricity network wasn't sold off.
Our Labor candidate did say they would be announcing specific details of infrastructure funding in due course, so we are now waiting to see what those details are and if there is anything in them for much needed infrastructure like the Dubbo Hospital developments.
