8.35am: David Hicks has won his challenge to his terrorism conviction before a military court at the US Navy base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Mr Hicks pleaded guilty in March 2007 to providing material support to terrorism. It was a plea bargain in which most of his seven-year sentence was suspended and he was allowed to return home by the end of that year.
In 2014, an appeal's court ruled that material support is not a legally viable war crime for the Guantanamo court. Prosecutors argued his conviction should stand because he agreed not to appeal as part of his plea deal.
That argument was rejected Wednesday in a unanimous decision by the US Court of Military Commission Review.
The government has not said whether it will attempt an appeal. - with AP

8.10am: The contamination of berries continues to make the national news this week with more and more cases of Hepatitis A diagonsed.

Ms Ross said she brought hte berries to put in her drink bottle to flavour her water more than a month ago. More details on Ms Roff's story here.
Ms Ross tells her story as the frozen berries maker embroiled in the national hepatitis A outbreak has been telling customers it does not always use Australian fruit because of "quality" concerns, outraging local growers.
Pressure is growing to tighten food labelling laws as the number of hepatitis A cases believed to be linked to contaminated frozen berries grew to 13 on Wednesday. But Prime Minister Tony Abbott appeared to reject a complete overhaul of testing and labelling regulations, saying it was the responsibility of businesses "not to poison their customers".
