Mr Collie was recently awarded Australia's Hottest Ginger Beard/Mo in a three-month competition, hosted by Buderim Ginger.
The now 'fashion-icon' received more than $2700 worth of prizes, including $500 of beard care and styling products, Buderim Ginger Products and an all-expenses paid trip to Noosa.
Mr Collie's outstanding facial-hair masterpiece received more than 6000 individual votes and he said the experience was amazing.
"I'm pretty stoked to win my category- thank you all of my friends and family for putting up with me constantly asking them to vote for me," he said.
"I just did it for a laugh really, but you never know what's going to happen."
Despite the warmer weather, Mr Collie said he did not have any plans to shave off his trademark feature.
He said those who were interested in growing a beard should go for it.
"If you can set your mind to it you can do anything," he said.
"It's really easy to grow a beard too, just be lazy and stop shaving.
"I've saved so much money, it's much cheaper than shaving."
Mr Collie was also nominated for the Australia's Hottest Ginger category, but he was unfortunate not to make the final round.
The winner of Australia's Hottest Ginger will be announced in Brisbane on February 5.
