8.50am: Here's one too good not to share.
A bodybuilder caught with almost 50 vials of human growth hormone and a cocktail of testosterone and steroids typically used on animals, claimed he was using the substances to help his bad back.
A lawyer for Victorian Adam Harlock, 27, who also competed in powerlifting competitions, told a Ballarat court his client used the substances in part to help with his physical ailments.
8.40am: Last week we reported on an asteroid that was due to pass by Earth on Australia Day.
The event happened without any unforeseen disasters but new footage taken by NASA revealed the asteroid had its own moon.
8.30am: If you have been following the story of professional golfer Robert Allenby and his misadventure in Hawaii last week, there has been an update.
The Australian said he is sticking to his original story, despite plenty of contradictory evidence emerging.
He claims to have no knowledge of visiting a strip club, where witnesses claimed he ran up a $3400 bar tab and said the experience has showed him he has no friends in the media.
8.20am: How do you feel about the fact that Apple made more than $6 billion in Australia last year but paid just $80 million in tax, while average residents are asked to pay and extra $5 to visit a doctor?
The average Australian loses roughly 22 per cent of their wage to tax but Apple paid just 1.3 per cent because it claimed it made a net profit of just $171 million.
It really doesn't seem fair, does it?

8am: Orana Heights Before and After School Care is celebrating the completion of its new facility on the grounds of Orana Heights Public School.
It is the realisation of a 14 year dream for co-ordinator Cathy Buckley, who staff and children are loving the new building.
7.50am: The war of words between two of Dubbo's state election hopefuls has continued, this time over law and order.
Labor candidate Stephen Lawrence and Nationals MP Troy Grant have accused each other of lying about their stance on crime.
Both men have accused the other of being soft on crime.
7.40am: A quick look at sport.
* GROUP 11 president Ross McDermott is quietly confident about Dubbo's chances of hosting an NRL match in 2015 as his committee waits to hear back from the Manly Sea Eagles.
The Group 11 committee, working together with Dubbo City Council, submitted a proposal to the Sea Eagles late last year and with discussions beginning again recently McDermott is hopeful of good news in the coming days.
* DESPITE Sydney Thunder missing the Big Bash League finals for a fourth successive season, Yeoval product Chris Tremain said there was no disappointment in the electric green camp.
* RUGBY may be left cursing last Friday night's rain with a drawn Twenty20 match against CYMS Cougars leaving their finals hopes in the balance.

* Just days after winning three Golden Guitar awards at the Country Music Festival, Luke O'Shea has been arrested for locking himself to a water pump in protest at the controversial Maules Creek mine.
* Almost 600 women and nine babies may have received ineffective vaccines after a faulty refrigerator thermostat at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital went undetected for more than a year.
* Animal welfare activists protest outside the court hearing of a man accused of running an alleged illegal puppy farm south-west of Melbourne.
*There are growing concerns over Tony Abbott's justification of his decision to award Prince Philip an Australian knighthood.
7.15am: Here's what's making headlines around the region this morning.
*DUBBO: A teenage girl accused of stabbing a taxi driver in the throat at Dubbo remains remanded in custody and could be faced with forensic testing.
On a related note, pre-paid fares could be trialled in the state's west as part of a larger effort to prevent violence against taxi drivers.
*ORANA: Police were disappointed with the behaviour of some motorists during the four days of Operation Safe Return.
"COMPLETELY preventable" offences such as speeding, drink-driving and failing to wear a seatbelt kept officers busy in the region.
*WELLINGTON: Police have charged three men with affray after a dispute got out of hand in Curtis Street on Friday night.
*DUBBO: HOMEOWNERS with pools will be unable to sell their homes after April unless they have been certified however, however one strata manager said it shouldn't be a problem if council stay on top of it.
