Council's manager parks and landcare operations Mark Kelly said the hedge at the roundabout was removed following a number of complaints from motorists.
Mr Kelly said there were complaints about being unable to see over the roundabout due to the height of the hedge.
"The roundabout is getting busier and the hedge was getting thicker so people couldn't see," he said.
Mr Kelly said the increase of traffic was also an increasing safety concern for those working on the roundabout.
"It's getting a bit harder for our guys to go out on the roundabout and re-do them."
He said in Dubbo the roundabouts were maintained to ensure they never surpassed 600 millimetres.
"When you drive around the state you see a lot that don't apply with that. There are some in Sydney where you can't see the other side."
Mr Kelly said the roundabout on Wheelers Lane and Birch Avenue was the next roundabout which would be looked at.
"We always try to improve things around town. We're making it as easy as we can for the motorists of Dubbo."
