Mr Schulze held a number of executive roles in the cotton sector and has been credited with significant services through research and innovation.
Mr Schulze was the Executive Director of the Cotton Research and Development Corporation from 1990 to 2004.
He was a committee member of the Australian Cotton Conference for 22 years and was the chair in 2000.
The Narrabri resident was the founding board member of Cotton Seed Distributors from 1967 to 2005 and was a founding member of the Co-operative Research Centre for Cotton.
Mr Schulze was a member of the organising committee of the International Cotton Advisory Committee between 1986 and 2000 and was the convenor of the first World Cotton Research Conference in Brisbane in 1994.
For many years he was a board member of the Australian Cotton Growers' Research Association, an agronomist for Auscott Limited from 1964 to 1970 and was a farm manager in Trangie from 1970 to 1981.
Mr Schulze is a life member of the National Party of NSW, where he was vice-chairman for many years and is the current trustee at the Constitution and Ethics Committee.
