Williams has had plenty of experience at Mount Panorama in various support categories at the 12 Hour and also the Bathurst Motor Festival at Easter, but 2015 will be the first time he will take part in the main game.
He will join Ric Shaw, Matt Chahda and Steve Devjak behind the wheel of a BMW 335i for the On Track Motorsport team, which will compete in Class D.
Their vehicle has an incredible history of success in the event, having won three times in 2007, 2008 and 2010 when the race was exclusively for production cars and it has always finished on the podium in Class D since the faster GT cars joined the race in 2011.
Williams will sit in a driver's seat previously filled by famous names like Bathurst 1000 winners John Bowe and Paul Morris and multiple Porsche Carrera Cup champion Craig Baird.
The BMW also has a great record of finishing, reaching the end in each of the eight enduros it has tackled and Williams wants to continue that.
"This is one of the most important races in my career so far and it's definitely the biggest in terms of the international interest around the race," he said.
"Because this is the first time I've done the race my goal will just to get the finish. Getting on the podium in our class would be great and winning our class would just be amazing but even to finish such a race would be a very good result.
"The car itself has proven to be very reliable. It had good success here before the GT era and even since then it has got some good results. There has been a few modifications since last year and it's ready to go."
Williams and Devjak are newcomers to the BMW, while Chahda was behind the wheel last year and Shaw drove the car in 2009 when it was eighth overall.
"I know the track really well. I haven't driven this car before but I have driven cars that do similar lap times so I am pretty confident I can get the hang of it quickly," Williams said.
"I don't know the other guys personally but they are all pretty experienced and we will help each other out. We are all there to do the best we can for the team.
"The longest race I have done so far is six hours so this is double but we also have four drivers so it won't seem too much different but I have been doing plenty of training and fitness to get ready."
Just two months after the 12 Hour, Williams will be back at Mount Panorama, driving in the Production Car and Historic Touring Car categories at the Bathurst Motor Festival.
The Bathurst 12 Hour is run on February 6 to 8 with practise and qualifying held on Friday and Saturday and the race on Sunday.
