Newtown Gold ensured they stayed level with Rugby at the top of the Kelly Cup table with a comprehensive nine-wicket domination of CYMS on Saturday.
The Gold Tigers rolled the Cougars for just 80 and then cruised to the total inside 13 overs for the loss of just one wicket.
Things began perfectly for Newtown with Heath Blackett removing CYMS captain Craig Graham with the very first ball of the match.
Andrew Moreton top scored with 24 for CYMS but Mitch Gray (3-14) and Jay Kelly (2-6) ensured no batsmen went on to make a big score.
Craig Pettit made 20 early in the run chase before falling to Tom Graham but Sam Carolan-Work (29 not out) and James Amey (26 not out) led Newtown Gold to the routine win.

Rugby again showed why their equal top with a comfortable win of their own on Saturday.
Sam Jefferies' 4-12 from eight overs helped bowl out RSL-Colts Youth Development (YD) for 115 and then Adam Stone's 46 led his side to the win.
Mick Davis had earlier made 52 for Colts YD but Mike Coward (27) was the only other player to make double figures as they went from 0-64 to all out for 115.
Rugby were in trouble at 2-15 but Stone and Craig Wood combined for a 72-run partnership to put their side in a match winning position.
Mike Parrish tried his best for Colts and finished with 3-36 from his eight overs.

A team effort with bat and ball led Colts to victory on Saturday as they defeated Macquarie by three wickets.
Ben Bruce (3-31), Adam Cuskelly (2-30) and Nathan Daniels (2-42) helped dismiss the Blues for 157, with Dave Murray (68) and Chad O'Brien (53) doing the bulk of the run scoring.
Lyndon Whitney then top scored with 40 in the run chase but with the likes of Bruce (22) and Wayne Cole (21) contributing Colts reached the target with 13 balls to spare.
Andrew Blake was economical and took 2-19 from seven overs for Colts but it wasn't enough.

South Dubbo put some space between themselves in fifth and the rest of the competition with a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Newtown Black.
Scott Dwarte was the hero for the Hornets, taking an incredible 5-2 from 5.2 overs as the Tigers were bowled out for just 71.
Matt Wright top scored with 25 in the run chase before Tom Saul (19 not out) and John Byrne (17 not out) reached the target inside the 21st over.
Souths, sitting in fifth place, are six points clear of sixth placed Newtown Black.
