A woman has died four days after she was allegedly assaulted by her partner at Bourke.

The 38-year-old woman was with friends about 11pm on Tuesday, December 23, when she was allegedly assaulted by her partner.
She suffered a broken right leg during the alleged assault and was taken to Bourke Hospital before being transferred to Dubbo Hospital.
A 44-year-old man was arrested and charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and appeared in Bourke Local Court the following day.
After appearing in court, the man was again remanded in custody to re-appear in court on January 5, 2015.
On Saturday December 27, police from Darling River Local Area Command were contacted by hospital staff and told the woman had died.
A post mortem examination has been conducted and detectives are now awaiting the results.
The investigation is continuing.
