IN less than a week the jolly man in the red suit will deliver presents to all the good boys and girls of Dubbo. But what is on their wishlist and what is on the menu for Christmas lunch?

Technology and electrical items are high on the list for young and old said Choice spokesperson Matt Levey.
"For tech savvy tykes Android and iOS tablets and games consoles such as Nintendo Wii U, Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PS4 will get the wrapping paper flying," he said.
"As will accessories like headsets and 'theme' Call of Duty controllers.
"When it comes to games Super Smash Bros for Wii U will be hard to top.
"Nintendo 3D XL is the hottest handheld item this year and is likely to melt any Southern snowflakes.
"For Sony console owners the PlayStation Vita is a nice addition and for Apple fans iPod Touch runs lots of games and educational apps.
"If you are looking for a tech bargain, buying previous-generation consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) are often offered for reduced prices."
A Big W spokesperson said headphones, wireless speakers and karaoke systems are hugely popular.
"Beats by Dr Dre, Moki and the Party Rocker Karaoke System are top of this year's Christmas list," the spokesperson said.
Kids are often looking for a pet in their Christmas stocking- Big W provides a "pet without a mess" with the Zoomer Dog.
"This voice activated pup has a big personality and is a fun, sturdy adorable toy, with a litany of tricks and routines," a Big W spokesperson said.
Choice's Mr Levey said Frozen is looking to take over Christmas and with "appearance on everything from floor puzzles to paper purses."
Target exclusively advertises the Frozen Small Dolls Complete Story Set, which features all of the Frozen characters in the one gift set.
Minecraft, loom bands and Lego top the lists on letters to Santa, according to Choice.
"A perennial favourite, Lego's always a big seller at Christmas and this year is no different," a Big W spokesperson said.
"Lego has a wide range, along with the ever popular Friends, City, Creator and Duplo Lego also has some fun new additions Star Wars, and Super heroes there is something for all age groups."
Little Live Pets and DigiBirds is also fairing well this Christmas, said Target Head of Brand Communications, Jennifer Goonniah.
Peppa Pig is a hit with the little ones and the new Weebles range is popular with parents looking for an educational element in toys, a Big W spokesperson said.
The other toys which children are asking for this Christmas are ; they have been surprisingly popular this year. Lego is still a favourite for both boys and girls with Star Wars and Disney Princess sets, and this time of year we see a lot of demand for outdoor and aquatic equipment."
Store manager of Coles Dubbo Matthew Grundy said we can expect the classic mince pies on the table at Christmas time." Fruit mince pies are always a classic favourite and we sell almost 2 million packs each year across Australia," he said.
It's expected 70 percent of prawns will fly out the doors in the three days leading up to the big day, Mr Grundy said.
Coles research teams expect turkey, ham and chicken will find their way onto our plates this Christmas.
"Based on our research, ham is the most commonly-served meat at Christmas and we've already seen big demand for our full range of hams," Mr Grundy said.
"Christmas Eve is our biggest day for hot roast chicken sales as we see our volumes across Australia quadruple on the day before the big event."
Cherry and mango purchases increase over the festive period and more than double the amount of boxed chocolates are sold at Coles Dubbo in the lead up to Christmas because customers consider them an easy gift to buy, Mr Grundy said.
The Woolworths Festive Food Report stated more than 1,000 tonnes of prawns sold during the Christmas and New Year period- 10 times more than any other time of year.
"Ham is one of our biggest sellers this festive season and we are set to sell more than four million kilos in the four weeks leading up to Christmas," A spokesperson said.
"We forecast sales of ham to rise by five percent compared to last year."
Woolworths forecast sales of boneless turkey to rise by more than 20 percent compared to this time last yea and more than 16,000 Macro Free Range Turkeys will be sold this Christmas.
Fresh pork sales are estimated to increase by six percent, the report stated.
