8.26: Arson and Explosive Squad detectives have charged a 24-year-old Maiden Gully man with serious offences following incidents over night in Bendigo where it is alleged home made explosive devices were located.
Three devices were allegedly located as follows:
The first two were located exploded, one at the intersection of Myrtle and King Street and the second outside the library in Hargreaves Street.
The third device was located intact in Chancery Lane.
A 24-year-old male from Maiden Gully has been charged with eight offences including reckless conduct endangering life, manufacture explosive substance, criminal damage and cause explosion likely to endanger life.

8.05: Christmas spirit is about to come to Dubbo with the city’s annual Carols By Candlelight on Sunday night.
Malcolm Cockrum, member of carols organiser the Rotary Club of Dubbo West, urged everyone, young and old alike, to come along to Victoria Park Number 1 Oval.
Mr Cockrum said on Sunday morning the stage was being decorated by a band of 10 helpers, and more were expected as preparations continued throughout the day.
He said 4000 people were expected to set up on the grassed oval for the night.

*ORANGE: Suicide. A word rarely seen in the media, but a word Mrs Hohnberg wants shouted out until it no longer becomes an uncomfortable topic, is no longer whispered behind doors and is no longer a subject of shame.
*ORANGE: Four Orange High School teachers have closed the door on their teaching careers after spending most of their lives in the classroom. Technology and applied sciences teacher Grisela Deasey has chalked up 47 years in her career, with 37 years spent at Orange High School.
*BATHURST: At exactly 7.14pm on Christmas Eve Bathurst’s War Memorial Carillon will join other carillons throughout the world in playing Silent Night to mark the centenary of the Christmas Truce in 1914.
*BATHURST: There were a lot of full hearts in Bathurst yesterday as volunteers visited homes to deliver 1100 Christmas Miracle Appeal hampers. Co-ordinator Noela Sikora said 200 generous people turned out on Saturday morning to pack the hampers, saying the response was absolutely amazing.
*MUDGEE: The Australian flag is flying over the Mudgee Public School administration building again for the first time in more than 60 years as the school looks to reconnect with its history. Graffiti inside the belltower that the pole sits on top of indicates the original flag pole was removed in March 1950.
7.24: Taking a closer look at the Daily Liberal's front page:
Four jobs have also been shed from the bishop's registry in Bathurst as part of "huge changes" announced by Bishop Ian Palmer to his people at the weekend.
The financial situation of the diocese - previously reported as having a $25 million debt - was one of two reasons for the decisions, Bishop Palmer told the Daily Liberal yesterday.
The changes were the cost of the balanced budget for 2015 passed on Wednesday by the leadership body of the diocese, which stretches from Bathurst to Bourke.
In a candid interview Bishop Palmer said there was "not enough money to pay the staff or the bishop".

*DUBBO: The moment Khyarne Biles accepted her place in the medicine program at the University of NSW (UNSW) she knew she would end up back home in Dubbo when she graduated. Six years later and still full of disbelief at what she's accomplished, Dr Biles is staying true to her word.

*DUBBO: Civil engineer Matt Parmeter has confirmed he will represent the Greens in the seat of Dubbo at the NSW election in March next year. Mr Parmeter believes the Greens' key policies of opposing coal seam gas, pushing for renewable energy, strengthening the public education system and retaining government ownership of the electricity network are particularly appropriate in the Dubbo electorate.
*WELLINGTON: A fire at Uamby road near Twelve Mile Road about twenty minutes from Wellington was being controlled by a number of brigades from the rural fire service on Friday night.
