The second of three meetings will be held today about the Narromine Shire Council’s proposed Special Rate Variation.
A meeting will be held this evening between 6pm and 7pm at the Trangie Bowling Club.
The meeting follows councils resolve to consult with the community in relation to a proposed increased in general rates by special rate variation for 2016/2017 and 2017/2018. Property owners and residents are asked to provide feedback on this important initative.

CRICKET: The International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup Trophy Tour manager believes today's World Cup showing is a once in a lifetime opportunity for cricket fans in Dubbo.
RUGBY LEAGUE: FORMER Group 11 secretary Bob Walsh admits he is excited about the prospect of helping rugby league across all of country New South Wales after he was elected to the board of the Country Rugby League (CRL) last week. The CRL annual general meeting brought together officials from all corners of the state, with the election of vice-presidents being the only positions for which a ballot was required.
CRICKET: Dubbo's decision to use the Brewery Shield as a breeding ground for future representative stars has paid immediate dividends with a six-wicket mauling of Gilgandra on Sunday.
CRICKET: RUGBY took the honours on day one of the Pinnington Cup top-of-the-ladder clash with CYMS Cougars, with Bart Goodman's five-wicket haul having them well placed for next week. Goodman took the first three wickets of the day to have CYMS 3-27 and the competition leaders never recovered from there as they could only manage to post 143.
CRICKET: Newtown Black sprung the surprise of the round in Kelly Cup action on Saturday, defeating competition leaders Rugby by six wickets at Bob Dowling 3. Brett Wrigley took 4-21 and Al Lloyd finished with 3-12 to set up the win as Rugby could only manage 151 and then the Tigers cruised to the total for the loss of just four wickets and inside 32 overs.
RACING: At times eight-year-old mare Misblueblud must have frustrated local trainer Jim McMillan, recording 12 placings and just one win. But on Saturday the Carry The Crown galloper staved off some tough opposition in the Class 1 Handicap (900m) to pull through by a length

8.04: RAISING A SWEAT FOR MAX
MORE than $2650 was collected on Saturday for the Raise A Sweat For Max fundraiser at Anytime Fitness.
In a period of 12 hours, about 40 runners pumped out 119 kilometres on the gym treadmills, all with 18-month-old Max McIntyre on their minds.
Fifteen-minute time slots were made available for purchase at $25, with the day's proceeds donated directly to the family.

A second fundraiser for the McIntyres, Flip Out For Max will be held on Saturday, December 13.
The event coincides with the opening of the new Flip Out trampoline facility at the Dubbo Showground.

Dubbo motorists are being ripped off by around 14 cents per litre, according to NRMA Western NSW Director Graham Blight.
At the weekend of November 23, the average unleaded price for petrol in Dubbo was $1.44 per litre, while the average diesel price was $1.49.
Mr Blight said across all of regional Australia, petrol stations are inflating their prices.
"In Dubbo petrol prices are about $1.48, $1.49, the price at the depot in Sydney is $1.24. That's 24 cents difference,"

CRIME: Police are this morning negotiating with an armed man after a shooting in Melbourne's inner-north.
HISTORY: A murder note is up for auction. A letter from one of Australia's most extraordinary crime cases - in which a man wrongly condemned to hang pleaded desperately for his life - will be auctioned on Thursday.
WHITE COLLAR CRIME: The corporate watchdog has used the Australian interest rate-rigging scandal to repeat calls for tougher penalties for white collar crime.Australian Securities and Investments Commission chairman Greg Medcraft said the regulator had nearly 10 of its 60 market enforcement staff working on the investigation into suspected manipulation of Australia's key benchmark interest rate. CELEBRITY DEATH: One year after Paul Walker's death, the actor's father also named Paul Walker has opened up about his late son, sharing his grief and reflecting on his son's life.
CRIME: Two sisters who say they were being harassed by a group of men on a bus in India have been filmed beating their attackers with a belt and their fists before they were thrown off the bus while it was still moving.
I Matthew Ng, the high-profile Australian entrepreneur whose controversial incarceration in China strained diplomatic ties, has won the right to serve out his sentence at home, in the first prisoner transfer of its kind between the two countries.

STEALING GRINCHES: Anthony Corby is furious thieves stole Christmas decorations from the front yard of his Mitchell Parade house on Saturday night. Mr Corby said he had been out for the evening and when he was getting ready for bed about 11.30pm he heard a car pull up out the front of his house and leave a short time later.
FIRE: Four fires suspected to have been deliberately lit in the Winburndale Nature Reserve are now being investigated by NSW Police. The four fires, totalling 43 hectares in size, were ignited on Sunday morning in the nature reserve north-east of Bathurst.

WET SEASON IN QLD: The wet season is just about to begin up in Queensland - and they couldn't be happier around Mt Isa.
FIRE: Deliberately-lit grass fires at Warrawong kept crews of firefighters busy on Monday. Eight crews from Fire Rescue NSW and the Rural Fire Service battled a number of fires at the Coomaditchie Reserve, which were thought to have been lit by two young people seen in the area at the time.
CALL OUT FOR HIV SUFFERERS: A HETEROSEXUAL woman living with HIV wants people in the same boat to speak out. Karen Williams, of Lavington, has created a Facebook page where others diagnosed with the immune disease can share their thoughts, feelings and words of support.
SEX WORKERS: MEN or women who use the services of Warrnambool sex workers are being warned not to get caught with their pants down. Police tactical intelligence operative Senior Constable Rebecca Miles, of the Warrnambool crime investigation unit, said officers had carried out an investigation into illegal activity by registered sex workers in the Warrnambool district.
FIRE: A FIRE tore through an Ashmont home on Monday morning destroying two bedrooms. Turvey Park station commander Jeff Edwards said four trucks attended the fire at 6 Cottee Street.
CRIME: Bendigo police say a male in his 30s or 40s had fled the scene of a post office robbery with an unknown quantity of cash. He said the man was of average height and medium build wearing a hoodie and shorts. He said at this stage it is too early to tell if the theft was linked to one at the same building a month ago.
DROUGHT: It's make-or-break time for summer plantings – and the start of what many hope is a few days of rain to come has bolstered hopes. Light-to-medium falls of rain rolled in over the plains overnight Sunday and yesterday – and farmers desperate to get moisture profile to plant summer crops have begun calling seed suppliers.
7.15: Taking a look at local news this morning:
CHARITY WORK: The high number of deaths and injury among women during childbirth in developing countries has moved a group of volunteers at Dubbo. The Inner Wheel members are determinedly supporting efforts to provide a simple network of maternal health care in Africa.
LOTTO: Newsagents are continuing to fight to exclusively sell lottery products, following Friday night's meeting with the Newsagents Association of NSW and ACT (NANA). NANA CEO Andrew Packham said there was a record-breaking crowd at the Dubbo meeting with one newsagent travelling four hours from Bourke to attend.
FALLEN REMEMBERED: Paying tribute to those who died in the line of duty, the Wellington Correctional Centre held a remembrance service along with many across the state. It is in remembrance for all officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice on the job and after their service,”General manager of Wellington Correctional Centre, Scott Brideoake said.
CRIME: A recidivist offender was told to bring his tooth brush when six charges were adjourned in Dubbo Local Court. Patrick John Sayers, 37, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, using an unregistered vehicle and displaying an unauthorised number plate.
INSPIRATION HOUSE: Inspiration House Services are celebrating 27 years of assisting women fleeing domestic violence on the eve of the closure of its service Dubbo Women's Housing. Administration assistant of the Dubbo Domestic Violence Counselling Service at Inspiration House Vicki Adams, said Inspiration House would like to invite those who had been associated with Inspirations House to Westside Hotel on December 10.
TARONGA ZOO: Dubbo's Taronga Western Plains Zoo shone at this week's NSW Tourism Awards, taking home two gold awards. It won Best Tourist Attraction and Unique Accommodation at a gala ceremony in Sydney.
BOOKS: Lovers of fiction young and old gathered on Saturday at the Macquarie Regional Library for the launch of the children's book Howie the Yowie. Dubbo author Pat Clarke launched her latest book with the book's illustrator, Graeme Compton, editor, Ann Castle and a real-life Howie the Yowie.
NBN: NBN Co indicated yesterday an additional 14,500 Dubbo homes and businesses would be connected to the National Broadband Network (NBN) during the next 18 months. Almost 660,000 homes and businesses across more than 110 NSW cities, suburbs and towns are included in the new rollout schedule.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT: Deputy Premier Troy Grant visited Wellington to discuss the Fit for the Future reforms with council as well as the Cobbora Restart NSW funding of which Wellington is set to benefit.
