Relay teams from the Dubbo City Council, Mark Coulton's office, Troy Grant's office, Regional Development Australia (RDA) and St John's raced around the track.
The trash-talking was thrown around by four of the team's captains: Troy Grant, Mathew Dickerson, Mark Coulton and John Walkom.
"I could listen to (Mayor Dickerson) all day because the more energy he uses up here the less he'll have for the relay later on," Parkes federal MP Mark Coulton said.
Mayor Mathew Dickerson talked his team up while praising the impressive facilities.
"If we break a world record it will be a world record, keep that in mind while we're out there on the track."
But it was a definite case of all talk and no punch as the St John's College team cruised to victory.
Troy Grant faked a hamstring injury at the finish line to take a feeble second over Mark Coulton's team.
Mathew Dickerson finished strong to bring his team to third and John Walkom secured the RDA the wooden spoon.
