CHANNEL Nine presenter Erin Molan promises she will not be making any fashion faux pas at the Mudgee Cup next Friday, unlike one of her first pieces to camera at the television network.

Molan was dobbed in by much-loved colleague Ken Sutcliffe this week about a "disco ball" top she first wore covering motor racing on the Gold Coast.
"That was embarrassing. I had no taste in clothes and it was one of my first travelling trips as a journalist," she said.
"A driver had died overseas and it was a solemn story. And there I was in a bright coloured shirt and a strobe light nearby shone straight on to me, looking as though I was going to the disco."
The NRL Footy Show co-host is making quite a commitment to attend the $35,000 Robert Oatley Vineyards Mudgee Cup.
She will present a Walkley Award on Thursday night before leaving Sydney at 4.30am on Friday to arrive in Mudgee and hopefully be interviewed on Sky's Big Sports Breakfast.
She will then leave early on Saturday with cricketing boyfriend Daniel Hughes to meet his sporting commitments.
"If I do make a cameo on the Big Sports Breakfast I hope I say something that makes sense after being up so early. I'm sure Terry [Kennedy] and Jimmy [Smith] will look after me," she said.
"I'm also missing the Channel Nine Christmas party."
Apart from looking forward to Mudgee's Fashions on the Field, Molan has recently increased her interest in horse racing.
Earlier this year Molan and Hughes purchased a 10 per cent share in a Snippetson filly out of leading Canberra trainer Nick Olive's stable.
"Daniel loves racing. We used to punt on the greyhounds quite a bit too but now there is a vested interest with our horse," Molan said.
"We can't wait for the video we get week to week on how the filly is going. It doesn't have a name yet but it is getting closer to racing."
Molan is originally from Queanbeyan and a massive Canberra Raiders fan.
When quizzed about her passion for rugby league, Molan said there was yet to be a moment where she found little interest in the game.
"Sometimes when people work so intimately with a subject as part of their job they can lose interest. I am still waiting for that moment," she said.
"Whenever the Raiders come on I still get nervous. And then there's State of Origin and of course the recent Four Nations series."
Currently the Mudgee Cup TAB meeting is scheduled for eight races. Nominations close on Monday and acceptances will be finalised at 9am on Wednesday.
