RFS, Orana Highway Patrol and NSW Ambulance units were called to the Newell Highway about 5 kilometres out of Brocklehurst at about 12.50pm.
RFS Orana Team operations officer Laurie Douglas said the car veered across the side of the road and hit a guard rail. None of the three passengers were injured.
Damage to the car was extensive and required a tow.
Traffic on the highway ran as normal until the tow truck pulled the car out.
Officer Douglas said the situation could have been a lot worse.
"Any vehicle that is travelling at 110 km/h and hits a guard rail is fairly lucky," he said.
Meanwhile, NSW Fire and Rescue Dubbo station officer Adam Wixx said an elderly man was trapped in a car after the driver, an elderly woman, hit the centre pillar of a brick garage.
Dubbo police, NSW Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance were called to the East Dubbo address about 1.20pm.
The female driver was able to free herself after one side of the garage collapsed.
The male passenger was freed through the back door, neither occupants were injured.
Officer Wixx said the situation may have been different if the whole garage collapsed.
"It was lucky it didn't all come down- that could have resulted in serious injury or death," he said.
