Keeper Carolene Magner said Kibibi was getting used to the attention from visitors and had become a regular at the daily hippo keeper talk.
Kibibi means 'little lady' in Swahili, but the calf has already doubled in size since her birth.
Ms Magner said last week the keepers estimated Kibibi weighed about 90 kilograms, but she had grown so fast they believed her weight was now closer to 100 kilograms.
"She is growing and developing quickly. Her tusks and teeth are starting to grow and are now approximately half a centimetre long," she said.
"Kibibi is growing in personality as well and will often bob her head up and down and yawn while waiting for mother, Cuddles to finish her hay.
"She is also becoming vocal, making deep grunting noises."
For at least the next year Kibibi will rely on her mother's milk for nutrition, but she has already started munching on some hay and had a taste of lettuce.
