Ryan Simpson has been named in the under-13s boys invitational indoor team while Emma Corcoran was chosen in the under-18s girls state indoor team.
Simpson, whose efforts were praised by state selectors, will travel to Canberra in January next year while Corcoran, whose consistency and leadership continues to impress, will also be in action during January, at the nationals in Melbourne.
On top of these two, Dubbo's Niamh Dixon will also be in action at the under-18s nationals in Melbourne.
Dixon missed out on NSW selection but was identified by Hockey NSW as a player of talent and placed on a pick-up roster for other states. She was then picked up by Tasmania and will be an honourary Tasmanian during the tournament.
Dubbo Hockey this season competed in six state championships for indoor hockey, beginning in October.
A motivated open women's squad played at Illawarra, producing some outstanding results.
The Dubbo team, coached by Pat Mould, was undefeated all the way to the grand final but finished as runners-up after going down 5-3.
Both the boys and girls under-15s teams travelled to the Central Coast and despite going down 4-1 to Orange in the final game, coach Mark 'Chicka' Hawke was proud of his side's efforts.
In a difficult Division 2 pool the 15s-girls ended up playing off for relegation but they won the match in style, leaving coach Alex Waters pleased with the way her side improved during the tournament.
The under-13s was played at Tamworth earlier this month with both the Dubbo boys and girls playing in Division 2.
With only two players, Lilli Campbell and Tara Smith, backing up from last year the girls side was a very new one but their confidence and understanding of the indoor game grew with each game. With Jess Purtell leading the way, scoring three goals, the girls side finished fourth in their pool before drawing 2-all with Sydney in their final match.
The under-13s boys made the move up from Division 3 this year and despite going down in their opening two matches, two last year's grand finalists New England and Parkes, they scored some wins and then won the fourth and fifth play off by a score of 4-1 over Sydney 2.
The final Dubbo team to go away was the under-18s girls side, who played at Unanderra in the Illawarra, and they were met with a difficult Division 2 pool.
Niamh Dixon scored a brilliant individual goal to have the scores at 1-all in their opening match against Illawarra 2 but the opposition got up 4-1 with 10 minutes to go.
With the match almost over Dubbo lifted and goals to Dixon and Corcoran saw the girls just miss, going down 4-3.
The second match was against the Southern Highlands and with the defence of Courtney Hogan, Kendall McDonagh, Luci Ferguson and goalkeeper Paige LeBroque leading the way, Dubbo were able to push forward and win 2-0, courtesy of goals to Phoebe Bloink-Hollier and Corcoran again.
The third match was 2-all against Parramatta, meaning Dubbo came up against the talented Bathurst outfit in their last match.
Despite the girls' best efforts Bathurst proved too strong, winning 4-0.
