The winner of the competition will have their design featured on the MP's third annual Christmas card who will be sent out to homes within the electorate, said Mr Grant.
"I encourage primary school students across the region to enter this competition," he said.
"The winning entry will take pride of place on the front of my official Christmas card which is sent to hundreds of people and organisations across NSW."
The theme of the competition is 'Christmas in the Country.'
Students from primary schools in Dubbo, Peak Hill, Narromine, Parkes, Forbes, Eugowra, Canowindra, Yeoval, Tullamore, Trundle, Mudgee, Wellington, Gulgong, Mumbil, Hargraves, Stuart Town, Geurie, Trangie, Ballimore and all locations in between are eligible to enter.
Entries must be A4 in size and be able to be reproduced, so nothing stuck on the page or folded in half.
Artists name, age and school should be marked on the back.
Cash prizes will be given to students with the best design.
First prize will win a $200 voucher at a store of the student's choice, second prize will win a $100 voucher and third prize will win a $50 voucher.
Last year's successful competition was won by 11-year-old Becky Wright from St Joseph's Primary School in Peak Hill, said Mr Grant.
"This is a community project giving children in our communities the chance to showcase their creativity and talents," he said.
"I love to get the community involved and it's an opportunity to localise my Christmas card.
"It's much better than a generic one."
Mr Grant said he has had an incredible two weeks as the newly appointed deputy premier and wanted to thank everyone who supported him.
Christmas card competition entries close Tuesday November 25 at 5pm.
