A high energy, sophisticated song and dance experience that celebrates the life and music of Sammy Davis Jr.: the ultimate entertainer. Wayne takes the audience on a journey, paralleled to his own, through the legendary career of the ultimate entertainer in vaudeville, Las Vegas nightclubs, concert halls, musicals, film and television. He is joined on stage by a 7-piece Big Band, a cast of Sydney Musical Theatre Dancers, plus a junior choir and senior dance students handpicked from the dance schools in Dubbo.
DUBBO: Much Ado About Nothing - Held at Wesley Community Centre starting at 7:30pm. Tickets are $17. This abridged version of William Shakespeare's winning comedy will prove a whole bunch of fun - especially when moved from sunny Genoa and into a long hot Orana Region summer. RFS volunteers must deal with different kinds of fire as they party, flirt fall in love and fight on the banks of the Macquarie River. Will we ever see a bachelor of thirty again? Will true love fail before barefaced deceit? Come along and find out!
DUBBO: Dubbo Farmers Markets at Macquarie Lions Park from 8am-12 noon. The Dubbo Farmers Markets is a showcase of the region’s produce, fresh from the soils and water basins of the Macquarie Valley and beyond. The wet weather venue for the Farmers Markets is the RSL Club Resort Carpark - located in Brisbane St.
DUBBO: Derby Day: The social event of the season is here. Make sure you're decked out in black and white to take on the judges for the Myer Fashions on the Field. Derby Day is not just a day to socialise and show off your best fashion, there's also some horse racing! Derby Day at Dubbo Turf Club will be a six-race meeting and there is sure to be plenty of excitement the track with four of country NSW's most successful jockeys this year in attendance. The likes of Matthew Cahill, Greg Ryan, Glenn Lynch and Kody Nestor will all be in attendance and sure to provide some thrilling finishes. The first race jumps at 2.12pm and the last at 5.57pm.
DUBBO: Cricket - For those of you who don't feel like making the trip to the racecourse, why not find a nice tree to camp under at one of the many cricket grounds around town. In Whitney Cup action there are three intriguing game splaying out with Rugby today defending the 299 they scored against Macquarie at No. 3 Oval, CYMS (3/22) looking for their breakthrough win against Souths (191) at No. 2 Oval and RSL Colts resuming at 0-15 in reply to Newtown's 256. There is also plenty of lower grade matches in what is sure to be another top quality weekend of local cricket.

Fresh from picking up a major prize at the Harness Racing NSWAwards night, Dubbo Harness Racing Club is sure to be on another fantastic meeting with many of the regions best trainers and drivers going head-to-head. The action on the track begins at 1.31pm with the last race at 5.18pm.
