Woolley was re-elected unopposed and will lead the club for the next 12 months.
This will be Woolley’s second term as president.
In his president’s speech about the past year, Woolley thanked all the volunteers and hard workers of the club, referring them as the “lifeblood of the club”.
He said the club had a terrific year on the field after the disappointment of not making the finals in any grade in 2013.
He said the premier league and women’s league tag sides “flew the flag” for the club this year with their appearances in the semi-finals.
“We can safely say not many teams enjoyed playing against us,” Woolley said.
“We will be looking to go on bigger and better next year.”
Woolley paid tribute to outgoing treasurer Peter Hickman who stepped down from the executive.
In his treasurer’s speech, Hickman said the club did a colossal effort to produce a profit, albeit a very slim one, without the assistance of a high profiled rugby league match liked there were in 2012 and 2013.
“We are in a solid financial position but as he know from the past, things can turn pretty quickly,” Hickman said.
Replacing Hickman as treasurer is Rob O’Connor.
O’Connor and Woolley will be on the executive committee with Kathy Lang (secretary), Nick Van Lijf (senior vice-president) and Roger Lang (junior vice-president and public officer).
Jenny Woolley was named as assistant secretary and Hickman hasn’t totally left the committee, he will provide support to O’Connor as his assistant treasurer.
