The day will include two games of bowls starting at 1pm followed by a celebration dinner, which will include a number of prizes including best dressed couple, and best hat.
Following the dinner a phantom call will be programmed as well as a calcutta sweep.
During the course of the bowls day, 10 $100 prizes will be awarded to lucky bowlers courtesy of the event's sponsors, including the Dubbo City Bowling Club Euchre Club, Spence's Sports Tours, Park Vue Motel and Forro's Auto Tech.
The Rotary Club of Dubbo is joining in the festivities using the day as a fundraiser for their many projects.
The Rotary club will be making the dinner their meeting night and president Rob Leonard said he was pleased for the opportunity to join in with the Dubbo City Bowling Club for such an event.
"I would certainly welcome any visitors to our meeting, and in view of the two race meetings held in the city at this time I hope that this event attracts considerable interest and hopefully it could become an annual event," Leonard said.
Event organiser Barry Brebner has advised the cost of the Galaxy Bowls Day is $25, which includes the two games of bowls, afternoon tea, dinner and a chance to win heaps of prizes.
Should people be unable to bowl because of work commitments and are interested in coming to the dinner, the cost is $20.
All you have to do is ring the Dubbo City Bowling Club on 6882 3619 and make a booking.
