The weather is warming up but Sunday tennis has still been going ahead at Muller Park Tennis Club in North Dubbo.
It was a particularly hot Sunday afternoon when the mixed doubles was played recently.
Mick McDonagh and Robyn Rawlinson were the winners and Mark Toomey and Anne Barwick were runners up, with the score being 6-2, 4-6 and 6-3.
Sunday tennis will continue through November but as the weather continues to warm up, there will be a change to Saturday evening, starting at 6pm. Night tennis has been quite popular in the summer months.
We have just passed the first anniversary of the resurfacing of the courts. We now have three courts with artificial grass instead of the original clay.
The new surface has been greatly appreciated by the members.
Saturday, November 22 is the annual Christmas Party, and this year we are wanting to order our meals ahead of time.
All those wanting to attend should check the menu and put in your order next time you are at tennis or phone Robyn on 0429 722 983.
This Sunday is the monthly Tom Toohey competition, beginning at 1pm.
Wednesday ladies tennis will start at 9am to beat the heat.
