The students completed a 12-week course through the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre which has given them additional skills in communication, diplomacy and general leadership.
AILC CEO Rachelle Towart was proud to see the students complete their studies.
"We had an amazing group of people from Dubbo and the region who have completed their certificate II and that will put them in a much stronger position in the future," she said.
"As many as 70 per cent of our graduates will go on to further their education and 77 per cent will gain a $13,000 to $15,000 pay rise because of this course.
"This course doesn't automatically make people into leaders but it gives them the tools necessary to get into leadership roles. We are seeing many Aboriginal people sitting on boards and committees and we hope courses like this can increase their representation."
The AILC also offers courses in certificate IV indigenous leadership, certificate IV in business and an advanced diploma in indigenous leadership.
