A MAN who crashed through a fence after losing control of a utility has been told he could have killed himself or someone else.

Mitchell John Bulmer, 22, was charged with high-range drink-driving and negligent driving after an accident in West Dubbo.
Prosecution facts tendered to Dubbo Local Court said the P1 driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.172 when he headed east along Alfred Street at 65km/h.
Bulmer applied the brakes when he reached Young Street and skidded diagonally across the intersection before mounting the kerb.
The brakes were still locked when the Toyota Hilux crashed into a fence, coming to rest on top of the structure.
A solicitor said Bulmer had gone to a hotel to watch a football game.
"He acknowledges driving was a stupid thing to do," the solicitor said.
"He has completed a traffic offender education program and expressed remorse."
The court was told the first-year apprentice cabinet maker found it hard to attend TAFE classes without a driver's licence.
Magistrate Andrew Eckhold said high-range drink-driving was a really serious offence.
"You were intoxicated and risked your own life and the lives of others.
"By law you are responsible for your actions when drunk."
Bulmer was ordered to perform 150 hours of community service work for the drink-driving offence.
He was fined $200 fine for negligent driving and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
