The four-year-old had failed to break through for a win from 16 starts, most of which had come at Tamworth and Newcastle, but enjoyed the drop in class to register his first victory in the Hogs Breath Cafe Pace (2120m).
From gate one Full Disclosure ($2.20) was outsped early as Call Me Anytime ($49.10) crossed to take the front while Karinya Mully ($2.10 fav) was forced to race outside the leader.
With only six runners engaged the tempo was understandably slow, with a lead time of 39.8 backed up a 32.6s first quarter of the last mile.
The tempo picked up through the middle stages as Karinya Mully applied a bit of pressure to the leader, with the middle splits run in 30.9s and 30.0s respectively but the key move came at the 600m mark when Gary Eyre elected to take off on Karinya Mully.
He quickly disposed of a tiring Call Me Anytime, which let Full Disclosure off the pegs and into clear running.
With the sprint gone from Karinya Mully's legs, Full Disclosure loomed ominously as the field rounded the turn and early in the straight he went past the favourite but had to withstand the late surge of Lexy's On Fire ($10.80, Ben Greenhalgh) before winning by 1.1 metres.
Splash Of Grace ($27.10, Trent Rue) was a further 3.1 metres away in third place, with Karinya Mully fading into fourth spot.
The time for the journey was 2:44.2, which equated to a mile rate of 2:04.6.
Carroll's other winner for the evening was Lily Rapido for trainer Don Cole, which took out the TAB Rewards Pace (1720m) as a $2.80 favourite.
