As part of the college's Indigenous Pathways program, local stars Dennis Moran, Ron Gibbs and David Peachey will be joined by former Bulldogs winger Hazem El Masri and former Penrith and South Sydney fullback Rhys Wesser in encouraging the school's indigenous students to make the most of their schooling.
All five men have been heavily involved in working with youth since their respective careers ended, with Peachey, Moran and Gibbs focusing their attention on the central west.
El Masri and Wesser are based in Sydney but will no doubt prove popular with the St John's students.
The Tackle Bullying workshop also addresses goal setting, with the ambassadors conducting a range of activities, sharing their experiences and assisting students to identify positive choices that will help them achieve their dreams.
"The idea of a visit like this is to give the students an opportunity to actively consider their futures," college Indigenous Pathways advisor Michelle Kosef said.
"I imagine some of the messages from the players will revolve around barriers they have experienced, the ways in which they have overcome those barriers and developed resilience to achieve.
"That's the message we want to send to our students, as well as making them aware of the many opportunities available to them, whether their goal is university, a vocational career or other forms of training."
