After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Hornets made 6-191 from their 40 overs, led by Dwarte, John Byrne (58) and Andrew McKittrick (39no).
In reply Macquarie was travelling well at 1-68 off 17 overs before Dwarte was brought into the attack.
He repaid the faith shown in him by removing Tim Cushan (17) with his second ball before bowling Luke Carman and Blake Birchall for golden ducks.
That over tipped the momentum of the match as the Blues never regained their composure, later losing four wickets with the score stuck on 95, before eventually being bowled out for 113.
Dwarte finished with figures of 6-9 off eight overs while for Macquarie, Dave Murray (30), Tom Peacocke (18) and Suman Kavooru (15) were the only ones to show any resistance.

Newtown Gold batsman Craig Pettit was in no mood to hang around as his side scored a comprehensive win over RSL-Colts in their first match of the new third grade season on Saturday.
The Golds dominated the match from start to finish, with Pettit's hard-hitting knock of 70 complemented by outstanding bowling performances from Tim Beckenham and J Kelly earlier in the day.
Beckenham took 4-6 off four overs, and Kelly 4-11 off 4.5 overs as Colts were skittled for just 87, and while the chase wasn't substantial for the Golds, Pettit made sure of the points in quick time.
He hit eight boundaries on his way to an unbeaten 70 as his side wrapped up the win in just 18 overs, while down the other end his opening partner J Dawe made 11no.

While their clubmates scored an easy win to open their campaign, Newtown Black suffered a five-wicket loss at the hands of Rugby in their match at Lady Cutler South 3.
Only three Tigers batsmen made it in to double figures after they won the toss and elected to bat, led by Brett Wrigley who made a solid 45 before falling to the bowling of John Hausia (2/13 off six overs).
Opener Graeme Baker made 19 while number nine Eric Woolnough hit an unbeaten 14 as Newtown were bowled out for 132 in the 35th over.
After doing a good job with the ball, Rugby also stood up with the bat as Craig Wood (63no) and Sam Jeffries (26no) led the way, while James Rootes' innings of 20 was also vital as he combined with Wood for a 56-run partnership after their side wobbled early to be 2-18.
Al Lloyd was the pick of Newtown Black's bowlers, finishing with figures of 2-22 off four overs.

Young gun Will Graham showed he will press for a spot in higher grades after starring in CYMS' 96-run win over RSL-Colts YDs on Saturday.
Graham made 89no as the Cougars finished their 40 overs on 5-237, before backing up to claim four wickets as the YDs were rolled for 141 in reply.
Paul Suckling also got among the runs for CYMS, making 39 while Craig Graham made 42 after opening the innings.
Needing to go almost a run a ball from the start, YDs suffered the worst possible start when Mike Coward fell on the first ball of the innings.
Grant Madson (10) and Glenn Armstrong (41) steadied things with a 50-run stand but when they fell in quick succession CYMS were able to take wickets at regular intervals and score an easy victory.
Graham finished with 4-14 off seven overs to cap a big day.
