They will perform at Ollie Robbins Oval on Saturday November 1 at 7.30pm.
Barry Francis aka DJ Debris of the Hilltop Hoods said he and the band were very excited to play at Dubbo.
"I've never been there, but we're really looking forward to it," he said.
"It's always good to play in smaller places.
"Audiences can expect a bunch of our new tracks as well as some of our old."
Hilltop Hoods were formed in Adelaide in 1994, but have been experiencing national and international success since 2006.
The award-winning trio have recently been nominated for two ARIA awards and have just returned from a North American tour.
The Australian tour is the fourth stage of the world tour to promote their newest album Walking Under Stars.
The album features a variety of different songs, Mr Francis said.
"It captures every mood you're in," he said.
"A good album should have contrast."
Mr Francis said there were songs with lots of energy, but also serious songs coming from personal experiences.
Through the Dark is one such as Daniel Smith, aka MC Pressure's, account of his son's battle with leukemia.
Mr Francis said Irish English singer, songwriter and rapper Maverick Sabre brought a different dimension to songs he featured on.
Earlier in the year Hilltop Hoods played to sold-out shows in New Zealand, Europe and the UK as well as Byron Bay music festival Splendour in the Grass.
They will be supported by Blue Mountains trio Thundamentals and K21 from Adelaide.
Tickets are available at Ticketek.
