Councils in the Parkes electorate will receive $14 million for local road construction and street repairs in the 2014-15 year thanks to the Roads to Recovery Program.

The program will enable local councils to prioritise roads funding, so that they can invest in infrastructure based on local needs and to strengthen economic growth.
Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton said 17 council in the electorate will receive their funding allocations in November.
"This is great news for local councils, residents and businesses," Mr Coulton said.
"These funds will make a real difference in building roads, repairing streets and creating better access across our community."
In the 2014 budget, the government doubled the Roads to Recovery payments to councils for the 2015-16 year to $700 million.
Councils can lodge applications in October, which will allow payments under the new program to be made this November.
o The 2014-15 to 2018-19 total allocation for Cobar Shire Council is $4,570,453.
o Coonamble Shire Council's total allocation for 14-15 to 18-19 is $3,915,832.
o Dubbo City Council will receive $4,920,176 in14-15 to 18-19 funding allocations.
o The 2014-15 to 2018-19 total allocation for Gilgandra Shire Council is $3,697,422.
o Narromine Shire Councils total allocation for 14-15 to 18-19 is $3,752,435.
o The 2014-15 to 2018-19 total allocation for Walgett Shire Council is $5,221,440.
o Wellington Council will receive $3,643,943.
